I can't take it any more!!!
I was trying really hard not to blog at all this week so that everyone who wanted/needed to read the post about my blog going PRIVATE in 3 days could see it and send me their email. But I can't take it anymore!! Mainly I just want to blog 2 things and they don't HAVE to be done now but I want to do them now.
Monday was Mykenzie's first day of school! She only had a half day but she had a good time. We have already gotten a news letter and she had homework last night! This teacher continues to make me happy! Just for the record the homework was just to fill out an about my favorite things kinda deal, nothing hard. A little girl in her class fell on the playground and broke her wrist or arm though. Poor thing, first full day of school. We haven't had any issues getting out the door on time. Afternoon carpool line is driving me nuts, surprise! Hopefully by next week people will realize that there are 2 lanes for a REASON! Above are a couple pics of Mykenize before the first day. She didn't want me to walk her in. I got dressed that day and everything just in case. :)
Today Kaylee wrote her name 3 times!!! I showed her how to do it a few days ago but today I was determined to get her to do it. I still had to talk her through but it is more of me saying "now what do you do", or "what's next" By the 3rd time she was over it but she still got it down for me. Obviously it looks like a 4 year old wrote it but she did good and I am proud.
That is all I had to say. Don't forget if you want to continue to read send me your email addy and I will add you when this thing goes private.

I changed my mind..
I have decided to make my blog private. I love that people like to read it but the more I see my site meter with places that I have never even heard of let alone know people who live there it makes me a little concerned. I realize I share alot of personal information on here and lets face it my kids are pretty cute. I prefer to keep them with me. There are alot of crazies out there! Sad but true. Plus my blog is linked from other friends blogs so who knows who is reading. Jenna has family and friends who read from time to time and I honestly have no problem with that. Anyhow the point is I will be making this blog private in about a week so if you want to continue reading please email me or respond on here with your email address and I will add you.
Sorry, cause I know it is a total PITA to log in to read a blog but at least you know it will be updated often so you wont be logging on for nothing. Let me rephrase it is still nothing, but it is NEW nothing ;)
My Scrap blog (NEW) is already private, if you want access to that one as well please let me know :)

WOO HOO!!!!
We went this afternoon to meet Mykenzie's new teacher and see her classroom. First off, she got my number 1 pick on my requests!!!!! YAY!!! Now, since I didn't know anyone with older children at this school I made my requests solely on their web pages! lol I know that isn't the best way to do it but it was all I had. Well, I was talking to a few other people and they all said they have heard wonderful things about this teacher!!! I am so relieved! I am sure you all are too cause now (well hopefully) you wont have to listen to me complain again all year! lol Also one of her little friends from 1st grade that I love cause she is so sweet is in her class and sits right next to her I am hoping this year will be 1000 times better than last year, though it won't be too hard to beat.
Oh and a side note, she came up to me and asked if I was Mykenzie's mom!!!! That's right folks this teacher saw that I was indeed a woman, not a man! Woo Hoo!!

More scrapbook stuff...
So here are some more of my layouts. I didn't even post all of them! I was going to post Mykenzie's school layouts as well but since there are already so many....
I am thinking of starting a blog to post future layouts that way I don't have to keep putting them on here but those of you who care can see them. Don't judge to harshly, I am just happy to be getting them done! Watch for a link to the right of the screen with a scrap blog in the very near future :)

Last Day
Today is our last day (weekends don't count) before school starts. It is a little sad to see summer end. I realized today that there were so many things I had planned to do that we just never got around to. We did have a good one though with lots of fun things and trips to fun places. It is just sad we didn't get around to everything I had hoped to. Time just goes by so quickly.
While I am sad that our lives are flying by I am also happy to have school start again. It is good for the girls and good for me too. I have such a long list of things that I want to get done the first few weeks they are back. My house has been let go this summer. Not that I have done nothing but it is no where near where it needs to be. I couldn't even shut my pantry door today cause it was so crammed full of stuff I had just been throwing in it. Same goes for about every closet and storage space in my house. Plus I have finally been kicking some serious butt on my scrapbooking this summer and I just think of all I can do with the girls at school!! I may be totally caught up by this time next year. Who knows maybe sooner, since I am just starting 2006 I am not going to set my goal too high! lol
Kaylee wont return until the 26th so it will just be she and I for awhile. I am sure she is going to be a bit irritated that Mykenzie is back and she still has to wait. She loves school! I was hoping to have her writing her name by the time school started but that doesn't seem like it is going to happen. She can do some of it but gets very frustrated. We still have a few weeks though so you never know. Mykenzie was about four and a half before she could do it.
Mykenzie did school work off and on during the summer but not nearly as much as I had planned for her to do. I am awful about following a schedule! I never used to be this way. I planned things out and followed it. Now we just fly by the seat of our pants and do what we want. It is a little strange. I am still uptight so I am not sure how I lost that part of me! lol I had this schedule for the girls, it literally lasted a week. I swear, I am such a good role model setting such wonderful examples. It was up, dressed, breakfast, chores (they each had a chore list) school work, lunch, outing, whatever. Yep. A week. That's it. It was a darn good schedule too. I wish I would have made myself (and them) stick to it. I am sure if I were working or in school I would be much more likely to follow one and have some time management but not working I think makes you much more lax.
The girls both had dentist appointments yesterday and both had great visits. I got the "I strongly suggest you get Mykenzie to an orthodontist" talk again. I was supposed to take her a year ago!! I SUCK! I swear I will make the appointment soon!! Kaylee had her 4 year check up today. She got 2 shots and took them like a pro. Her feet are peeling really badly and the Dr. thinks she may have strep in her system so they did a strep test but we wont know till Monday. She is also going to go ahead a schedule her with the cardiologist for another echo. I have been thinking about it alot lately and told her that I was concerned. She immediately said she would get her in so that was nice not to have to plead my case. She does still have a murmur so lets all pray that it is the kind that isn't a big deal. I'll keep ya posted.
We didn't get a chance to do anything fun today :( We had some back to school shopping to do and it took longer than I expected. We did eat lunch at Panera bread though and between shopping trips we stopped at Maggie Moo's for some ice cream :) Hopefully Sunday we will make it to the back to school bash downtown, the girls will love that, depends on how long it takes to meet her teacher that afternoon. Still crossing my fingers and toes she gets a good one this year!
Tomorrow Kaylee has her first birthday party that only she was invited to. Mykenzie gets to stay home with dad while Kaylee and I go to Sailor's party (a friend from school) She is so excited to go!! Then next Saturday she has another party to go to, this time it is Addison's (her BFF according to them) She is a popular little girl :) I wish they were all going to end up at the same elementary school but we all live in different school districts so that stinks, she will really miss them when school is over this year. The bday party Saturday is at a gymnastics studio that I was thinking of taking the girls so I will be able to check it out and get some info while I am there. Mykenzie would be thrilled if I signed her up!!

Can you hear me now?
When I blow dry Mykenzie and Kaylee's hair they both sing, loudly. It is like they think because they can't hear anything with the air blasting in their ears that no one can hear them either. I just find it funny that they both sing on the top of their lungs almost every time they get their hair dried, didn't want to forget that so I thought I ought to write it down.
20 weeks left!
Can you even imagine that in 20weeks it will be Christmas!! That means only 10 more paychecks for most people! I have picked up a select few things so far but I am ready to get my butt in gear and start shopping for more. Yes, I already have my Christmas notebook started, I did that last week. I have a few ideas for some people which is nice. I am hoping to come up with a few more so that I can keep my eye out for clearance and sales. The countdown has offically begun in my house! Maybe I should decide what the girls are going to be for Halloween first. lol Nah!

Happy Birthday Kaylee!!
My baby girl is 4! My how time has flown by. She had her party on the 27th at Pump it Up with all of her friends and had a wonderful time playing with them. Thanks to all of you who came to help us celebrate!
Today we met a few friends at Chuck E Cheese for some fun playtime. She had fun playing for 3 hours!!! We went to Walmart afterwards to pick up a toy that she picked out from her Grandma and Aunt Angie. She got to come home and played with that for a while until Travis got home from work and she could dive into the rest of her gifts. He surprised us by coming home early and she was immediately asking to open them. She was excited about them all, but then again they were all My Little Pony toys or Littlest Pet Shop horses. I wasn't really worried about her not liking them. We had dinner and sang happy birthday and ate her strawberry cake that she requested. The girls played ponies and watched her new pony movie until bed time. Overall I would say she had a great day! And got enough ponies to keep her happy for quite awhile.
Last night while I was tucking her in I told her "Good night my little 3 year old. This will be the last time you are 3, when you wake up in the morning you will be 4 and will never be 3 again." She seemed to like the idea of never being 3 again as she repeated that with a big smile on her face. She is thrilled to be growing up and being a big girl. While I love alot of things that come with a child getting older (read, I don't have to change diapers anymore) I wish the process would slow down a little bit and let me keep my little girls for a while longer.
Happy Birthday sweet Kaylee. I love you so much, I can't wait to see what year 4 has in store for you!!
*Pictures to come later I have a horrible headache and need to go to sleep*

The countdown has begun!
School starts 1 week from today!!! OMG! The summer has flown by! I am beyond ready for school to start back up and whether she wants to admit it or not I think Mykenzie is too. She needs that structure and we just don't have it during the summer we just go with the flow and do what we feel like doing. We have had a fun summer but all good things must end. I just wish starting back to school meant the weather automatically cooled off some too. It is supposed to be 101 degrees today before the "heat index" (I hate the heat index aka feels like temp) so I have been told. That is NUTS! I am thinking of going to the county fair tomorrow for Kaylee's bday but it is just so darn hot! We may still go though, we'll see.
This week will be crazy for us. The girls both have a dentist appointment, Kaylee has her 4 year check up, hair cuts, back to school shopping (got bday shopping done yesterday), Kaylee's birthday ect. Plus I want to have some fun thrown in there too since it is Mykenzie's last week off.
I am so nervous to start another school year, as excited as I am for summer to be over. Last year we had such a horrible time and a horrible teacher. I am nervous about 3rd grade and all the homework it will bring. It just seems like once 3rd grade comes that is when the hard things to learn begin. I am just praying that we get a wonderful teacher this year and that things go much more smoothly so Mykenzie can enjoy her 3rd grade year. 3rd grade for me is the year where I have most of my memories start. I remember a very select few from the years prior to that but I remember alot about third grade and the years after that. If that ends up being the case for Mykenzie as well I want those memories to be good and happy ones. Cross your fingers for her.
***A quick update on Travis. The surgery went well, he was sore for a few days but is on the mend and back to work today. Now lets just all say a quick prayer that it actually worked and it wasn't all for nothing. I was about to kill him at times during this and I so don't want to go through it again, I am sure he doesn't either.

Finally!!!
For the past SEVERAL months, at least a month before school let out, my church has been doing a series that I am just not into. I went to church only 3 of those Sunday's because it was just not interesting to me at all. I just checked my pastor's blog and today was the LAST day! Yay!! Now I can go back to church! My kids will be so happy and I will be too, I always leave feeling good. Next Sunday 10:30 Church for me!

I am in love
It is a strange love, but a love no less. This love is for my blog. I just spent an hour starting with the first post I ever wrote on this little old blog and reading about 6 months worth of posts. It is amazing the things you just forget about (read my memory post below) Funny stories, good times, that Kaylee used to call me Mauney, stresses and frustrations just everything in life. Days just pass by so quickly and tend to just run into the next. Before we know it 2 years have passed us by and we just sit back and wonder where they went. I am so grateful that I have this place to write and remember all of these things, even the bad days. This is my life and I am happy that I have taken the time to write it down. I know alot of it is boring and I don't really ever have anything that important to say, but I say it anyhow and I am glad I do. Don't expect anything to change for a long time. And to think I almost never started this thing
Memory
It is so strange how the mind works. I can remember the dumbest things but can't remember the name of someone who introduced themselves minutes before or details of last week. I can remember that Rachel told Mrs. McCoy in 3rd grade that Chris and Jimsey were in the closet kissing! WTH? I am afraid that Mykenzie has gotten my memory. Today at the grocery store she ran into a girl that was in her class last year. This means she saw her everyday of the school year and I actually think they were in the same group of desks. While she remembered her and said hi to her, she had no idea what her name was! How is that possible. It wasn't as if they never spoke to each other, they were friends!! A few hours later she tells me, "Mom, I still remember the day we got Maddie." Maddie would be our old dog, AKA the dog from Hell. She goes on to say, "I remember that Dad brought her home in a little box and she was so tiny and cute" OK all of these things are true (the dog from hell was an adorable puppy and she was brought into the house by Travis in a box) Now, all of this took place right before her THIRD birthday! She is 8! There are no pictures of Maddie's arrival to our house. I knew she remembered the dog but I had no idea she remembered the details of the day she came home. Crazy!

Picture Linkadoo
Here is the NEW link for all the pics from our trip to Virgina.

On a side note... anyone else hate the changes they have made to shutterfly? It is no longer user friendly at all! So the pictures are all out of order and it was to difficult to get into each one to give the titles. You can figure out what is what. The only people in pics are myself, my kids, Travis, my mom and step dad.

Hmm
I was wrong the headliner at the cantaloupe festival was Delbert McClinton. I would have sworn the paper we had said McClintock. Whatever. Apparently he has won several Grammy's and has been around for a long time. I have never heard of him and not a single song he sang sounded familiar. I wasn't impressed Grammy or no Grammy. It is country, rock, blues music so he says.

Back to Reality!
We are home after a wonderful vacation to Virginia!! We had a great time hanging out with my mom and step-dad. It was really sad to leave them, I so wish they lived closer to us! I am happy to be home. Still trying to put things away and get our lives back to normal, though with every thing we have coming up and school getting ready to start I don't think we will be back to normal for awhile. Here is a run down of our trip, you knew it was coming... lol
Saturday we dropped off Cami in Smyrna and drove our 9+ hour drive to Virginia. It was a surprisingly nice drive (of course I didn't do too much driving thanks to the mountains) We had alot of laughs driving through rural Virginia. Some very small towns though the one that made us laugh the hardest was a town called Horse Pasture. OMG we about peed ourselves! We got there about 7 their time, had some dinner. Took a ride in my mom's sweet little 2 seat sport car and went to bed.
Sunday we got up and headed to the lake. They have a pontoon boat that we took out all day. We fished for a bit. We all got bites but Travis and I didn't reel anything in. The girls by chance were both standing by a pole that got a bite so they each ended up "catching" a catfish. We went swimming for awhile as well. The water was 85 degrees and so nice. It felt so good getting in the water because we were roasting on that boat!! We were out till just before dark and headed back to my moms.
Monday we were out the door by 7:30ish to drive to Williamsburg. We went to Busch Gardens for the day. We got there about 10:30 after stopping for about an hour for breakfast before we got there. We all had a good time. Well maybe not Travis too much since he doesn't like roller coasters at all but I am pretty sure he still enjoyed it. Mykenzie rode 2 roller coasters but that was it for her other than kid rides. My mom and I went on the Griffon (Set amid a French village, Griffon carries riders up 205 feet, then hurtles them 90 degrees straight down at 70 mph. And that’s just the beginning. Click the link and click virtual Griffon) It was freaking sweet!!! However, they take you to the top of this huge ass hill, prepare to drop you at a 90 degree angle but first they litterally dangle you above it before they let you drop, I mean you are looking down, just a hangin there. Yeah, oh hell yeah, there were profanities flying from my mouth about then. Kaylee enjoyed the kids water play area and all the kid rides. We stopped to see a Pirates 4D show. OMG my kids do NOT like anything 3D!! Kaylee ripped her glasses off her face several times but we kept getting her to put them back on. Then the bees came! LOL Kaylee ripped them off her face so fast and screamed as loud as she could, "See Mom! I told you I shouldn't put those glasses back on!!!" It was too stinking funny! She didn't wear them the rest of the time and Mykenzie didn't wear hers at all. We rapped up the day and headed to check out our awesome hotel! After a small mishap and a room change we were set.
However for those of you wondering this would be about the time Kaylee disappeared, so they thought... I was outside on the patio checking out the hotel info, just as I was coming inside I see Travis jump up off the couch and run to the door, he called Kaylee's name and she giggled so my step-dad and I thought he found her. Well um, no. He and my mom and Mykenzie were all out in the hallway searching frantically for her. I walked into one of the bedrooms and said "Kaylee if you are in here it isn't funny, people are looking for you" and sure enough here she came. She was hiding from them in the room by the bed! LMBO! Of course if I thought she was lost it wouldn't have been funny but I heard her laugh so I knew she was in the room. She is a stinker for sure!
Tuesday and Wednesday brought us days of hanging out at the hotel. Not just any hotel, this hotel. It is called the Great Wolf Lodge and it was awesome!! Yes we rode the Howlin' Tornado, over and over and over. Travis is a big chicken and only rode a couple times. Mykenzie just made the height requirement so she rode it about 5 times (the last with my mom and I forcing her to go) My mom and I however couldn't seem to get enough it was so fun! They had a ton of stuff for the kids to do. Mykenzie was happy playing in the treehouse or the wave pool. Kaylee *liked* the kiddie area with small slides until she got a taste of the big slides. There were 3 big slides she could ride with us and she wanted to do them over and over, so of course we did. She also liked the wave pool and we spent alot of time in that as well. They had life jackets for the kids to wear (I so wanted to steal one they were perfect!) so Kaylee learned how to float and swim with a life jacket on in the wave pool. She got really good and does really well, not ready to go sans life jacket yet but we were pretty proud. Mykenzie loved the slides on the treehouse (Kaylee HATED them) and she was doing all kinds of tricks on them. While in line for one of the big slides my mom and I could look down on it and see her going down it was pretty cool. After 2 totally fun and exhausting days there we headed back to my moms house and hung out Wednesday night.
Thursday we got up and went shopping at Walmart to get the girls their own fishing gear and some snacks for the boat and headed back to the lake. My step dad rented a cabin so we were on the lake till about 11 on Thursday night (both girls fell asleep on the boat) no one ever even got a nibble from any kind of fish all stinking day. We pretty much crashed when we got to the cabin. This day was also Travis and my 9 year wedding anniversary! Happy anniversary to us!!
Friday we went back on the boat for more fishing, still caught nothing and Travis and the girls did some swimming. Then we went back to the cabin to get ready for the Canteloupe festival! Oh yeah baby, the canteloupe festival of South Boston, VA! OMG you thought a state fair was bad! Hillbilly city! We got some free food, some yummy canteloupe and other fruit and ice cream. Not to mention that they had all you can drink Miller Light and Mike's Hard Lemonade. We got the tickets for free so we enjoyed it. If I paid $30 a person like everyone else I would have been mad. They had a band playing that was pretty good, just doing covers. Then the headliner came on... Delbert McClintock. WHO??? that is what I said. These people knew right who he was and pilled into the mosh pit at the front of the stage just a singing and dancing away. I never heard of the dude and didn't really care for him either. Of course he was screaming into the microphone and I had a headache so that may have had something to do with it, though I doubt a whole lot. It was fun though. We left during the concert cause we were done with it and went to the cabin and my mom took the girls outside and made smores and chatted for awhile and then we all headed off to bed again.
Saturday morning we left a little after 9 to drive back home and just like that our vacation was over :( It is always nice to come home, or at least sleep in your own bed. I miss my mom though so it was sad too. I wish we could see her more often. I am going to have to stalk my kids when they move out and move where ever they are! lol
That's it. Those are the details of our trip. If you made it this far I am impressed!! This was LONG! I have to write all this stuff down though or it will be out of my head in a week. Seriously I can't remember anything without writing it down. Pictures are still downloading to shutterfly I will add them when they are finished
Vacation Bound
So my lists have all been completed, well except for loading the car but I think I am bumping that to Travis' list instead! lol Other than gathering up some electronics to bring (ie pack up my computer and camera stuff) I am done. Bills are paid, money is withdrawn, hair is cut and colored (more on that in a minute) clothes are packed, snacks are bought. That was about it for my list today :) I went to Walgreens to get the girls each a new something to do on the drive, I found Mykenzie and Hannah Montana activity book and Kaylee a huge My Little Pony coloring book. Kaylee about had a heart attack when I handed it to her she was so excited! LOL That girl loves her some My Little Pony stuff!
Now lets talk about my hair.... Oh my gosh it is so much better! Norman fixed me up and brought me back to the blah boring brown world that I am used to and I love. Blond just doesn't work on me... He kept my roots in dark brown so my regrowth wouldn't show like it did this time. Nice to know my stylist recognizes the fact that I am a slacker when it comes to getting in there on time! lol I figure the cut is good, he likes to make my hair curly when I go there so we will have to see what happens when I make it straight or just its natural wave. Over all I am very happy and love it so much more than the last time. I was going to post a picture, but to be honest at this moment it is in a pony tail, yes I suck I can't help it, I am hot. I am sure there will be plenty of pics that I am in from vacation so it will be shown then :)
Have a great week everyone! I may update from the road if I get a chance, since I am going somewhere that actually has, *gulp* Internet! Wireless at that! We are going to Williamsburg to Bush Gardens Monday and Tuesday (I think) and then hanging out at my moms and taking the boat out on the lake.
Hopefully it will be a fun and relaxing trip. We all know that the last trip out there was anything but. For those of you who don't know, Kaylee got lost in the woods for about 20 minutes. She was 23 months old. We were all outside and my mom thought she was me and I though she was with her. Nope. She went through about 20 ft of woods, through a barbed wire fence, across a horse field and into more woods. Where thank God she got trapped in a bush covered in thorns so she couldn't get out because every time she moved she got scratched. It was a miracle she was ok and that we found and it was the single most terrifying day of my entire life. My mom lives in the middle of no where with few neighbors and is surrounded by woods, ponds, streams, ect... She ended up with a big cut on her hand (I assume from the barbed wire fence) and scratches all over her little body. Mind you she was shoe-less and shirt less (she just spilled bubbles down her shirt 5 minutes before and they were getting ready to run through the sprinkler) I ended up with a huge cut on my leg (which later got totally infected) as well as poison ivy all over. Also on this trip both girls got their first (and only, knock on wood) ticks. So lets all say a prayer that this trip is totally uneventful. We simply want to hang out, relax and have fun, no no no drama or disasters!! If we have anything crazy happen again, I am going to consider her house cursed and she will have to visit me from now on!!! Think I am joking?

Check
I think I am done with most everything I had on my list of things to do! Yay! I used to plan everything out and go go go. Since I have had Kaylee I plan things out and wait until the last possible second to do them. I feel like this week I got a glimpse of my former pre two kids self. I had to get everyday random things done, stuff gathered and done for Bunco, a birthday party, and a baby shower. PLUS get ready for vacation and have all of the details taken care of for Kaylee's birthday party which is the day after we get home from my moms.
By Saturday I had the bday party gift bought and wrapped and the bunco stuff taken care of (not that I put alot of effort into that one)
By Sunday I had the baby shower gift bought and wrapped and my contribution to the shower itself taken care of.
By Monday I
*had Mykenzie write out her bday thank yous (yes way late, I know and I'm sorry)
*Post office for stamps to mail thank yous and all of the invitations to Kaylee's party.
*Dropped stuff off at Goodwill and Once Upon a child (they took most of the stuff this time!! woo hoo)
*I bought all of the paper products and goody bag items for everyone, if I have extras cause people can't make it I will just have to return them.
* Got my hair appointment made, I look ridiculous! I was supposed to go MONTHS ago but haven't made it in, Friday at 2 I will no longer have 2 inch roots! yay
*I got library books returned
*Bought stuff at Target and Walmart that we needed before we leave on Sat.
*Returned stuff to Kohls
*made Old Navy, JC Penney, Aeropostale and Goody's trips, looking for swim trunks.
*Hit up Blockbuster to return movies and rent a new one.
*Went to Publix and got Kaylee's cake for her party ordered
*Stopped at Hobby Lobby for their 50% off scrapbook adhesive sale
By Tuesday I
*cleaned my house as much as I planned to before leaving
*cleaned out all of the girls dresser drawers
*washed all dirty clothes (as of then)
*got all of the girls clothes pack for vacation
*did 4 LO for Mykenzie's school scrapbook
*watched said movie that was rented on Monday
*caught up on all DVR'd shows
Today I
*did absolutely nothing!!
I watched Ryan and Makenna for Chandra to go to the doctor to see that sweet baby she is carrying and we just played all day. After they left the library called to tell me the book I had on hold was ready (been on hold for 5 months) Of COURSE it is ready today since I am leaving in a few days and it is only a week rental cause it is high demand! So I went and picked it up and read the whole dang thing. Throw making an easy dinner in the middle of it and 3 hours reading time it was finished. And I loved it! If you have read the Queen of Babble series you will enjoy the latest in the series, Queen of Babble Get's Hitched. If you haven't read them and you are a fan of chick lit, check them out! Meg Cabot is the author :)
*Chandra returned my movies for me so I didn't even have to do that!! Thanks Chandra!
Tomorrow I will
*Attend a birthday party in the morning
*Come home get girls some rest time
*wash dirty clothes that have accumulated since Tuesday and pack what needs to be
*IF there is time, pack my stuff if not I planned to do that Friday anyhow
*Make grocery store run for some fruit for our drive and some soda for shower
*Attend baby shower in the evening
Friday I will
*Pack whatever is left to pack
*Return book to library and turn in girls summer reading papers
*get my hair done
*Make ANOTHER Target/TJ Maxx or someplace run since Travis informed me tonight he needs new white tshirts!
That is it folks. I am ahead of the game and I am so very very excited. I thought it was going to be a super busy stressful week and I am shocked to be pretty much done. I know you all don't give a damn about what I did all week, but tough, it is my blog! LOL

Lucky Girl
I am a pretty lucky girl. Not only do I have a wonderful husband and 2 great kids but I have always managed to find myself some great friends. In elementary school you are kind of friends with everyone but I always had alot of friends. In middle school I had a great group that I hung out with. In high school some of those people changed but I loved my friends so much. When I moved to Charleston I had Amy, when I moved to Columbia I found Amber and Mary and now here I have found wonderful people as well, especially Chandra and Barbara. I am lucky that I am still friends with most of the people that have been close friends through the years even though we live far away from each other now. I am thankful for all of the wonderful things in my life especially my family and all of the great friends I have made over the years. Thanks to everyone in my life for being here for me and loving me and making me feel like I am indeed a very lucky girl :)

Quick Update on our lives...
Mykenzie's check up went well, nothing exciting happened in the least. She is up to 56 pounds and is just a smidge over 4 foot tall. She didn't have to have any shots which made Mykenzie so happy she couldn't stop smiling. That smile quickly faded when she learned she had to pee in a cup and get blood drawn for an iron count though. Luckily somehow she managed to survive them both and admit that the blood draw didn't even hurt.
Kaylee has still been dry at night. Not a single accident since I first posted we were going to give it a try again. Thank God! I am so happy not to have any form of diapers in my house at all!
Summer break is going pretty well, though I am done with it. We have obviously been keeping pretty busy. It seems as though my kids get along great for a day and then fight for a day. The fighting is mostly over toys because at 8 and almost 4 they apparently haven't learned the art of sharing, or a least they forget about it from time to time. Mykenzie's new birthday toys is what brought it on, they both want them. I foresee it happening again when Kaylee has her birthday. They do love the Littlest Pet Shop stuff for sure. When Kaylee gets her new My Little Pony toys I am sure she will move on.
I am old and bitchy these days on the down swing of freaking PMS. Seriously, why do we have to have it every month? We get 2 good weeks and then have to deal with this crap all over again. I swear it didn't use to be this bad for me. I am thinking of asking my doctor for some anti-bitchy pills.
I did, however manage to complete several tasks on my large list of things to do. I wish I could know now who is coming to Kaylee's bday party so I could get stuff done, but since I haven't mailed the invitations yet that is difficult to do. I guess I will just buy goody bag stuff and if people don't come I will return it. I hope everyone comes though :) I also realized today that I can't order the cake until I know how many will be there. CRAP! I wanted to do that this week so I had it done before vacation. I am going to go and talk to the people and put in a kind of order and see if I can call and tell them the size I will need closer to the date. They are going to think I am nuts, so I will feel the need to tell them the entire story so they will understand why I am not crazy!
I have completed a few more layouts. I have started to do Mykenzie's school scrap book. I am getting ready to start 1st grade and I really don't have many pics from third grade since her teacher is a hoochie and never responded any of the times I ever asked if I could come in. Just first day of school and her play that she was in. So I am almost caught up in that book anyhow! lol I may go ahead and start Kaylee's book while I am at it. I have alot of pictures of her first year of preschool! I love this school she is going to it is so much more inviting to parents than Mykenzie's school was! I also just ordered 2 new cartridges for my cricut for cheap (thanks Lisa) I am hoping they get here before we leave so I can have some time to play!
My quick update has turned into a long update (SHOCKER) so I will go now! Enjoy your weekend everyone!!

Newsflash... No one wants to look at your ass!
Why is it that girls these days walk around with half their ass hanging out the back of their shorts? If you are going to the beach fine... Kroger not so much. I would kill for a butt like these girls have but I wouldn't be walking around with it visible for all to see if I did have one! Come on ladies you can dress sexy and get a man's attention without showing everything.

I feel like its been forever!
Seriously, it hasn't even been a week since I have blogged but I feel like it has been forever ago. Sadly I don't really have much to say. I guess I never really have anything important to write so it doesn't really matter. My friend Amber came here on Monday, after our awesome Fire Station tour with my moms group. We hung out that afternoon and the next day we shopped :) Tuesday night we met up with her ex and got her kiddo's. Mykenzie was so excited to play with Caleb again (this was her very first little friend)! On Wednesday we packed a weeks worth of fun stuff into a day! We went to Opry Mills free movie (Night at the Museum), to McDonalds for lunch and play and then to the discovery center! We were still home before 3 pm and then the kids just ran around and played. We all had a pretty good time. They left this morning and I started thinking of the million things I need to get done before we go to my moms house in 9 days. Since Kaylee's birthday party will be the day after we get home I have to have everything ready for that as well, so invitations need sent, goody bags bought and put together, cake ordered ect... Plus all the stuff I need to do to get ready for our trip, general everyday things that need done, birthday party gift bought (another party not Kaylee's) Bunco stuff found, and baby shower stuff taken care of!! Whew! Thank goodness I am a list whore otherwise I wouldn't remember any of it!
Mykenzie has her check up today at 2 so we have that and I hope to get some things on my list done today. I finally got her to sit down and write out thank you cards from her birthday (I still never did Christmas!) You would have thought I was killing her to do it! She hates having to write anything. Well her hand writing has gotten MUCH worse since the end of the school year so SURPRISE! she will be doing much more writing to get better before school starts back up. She will LOVE that! lol So I checked off writing thank you's but I have a long way to go before the list is complete... bummer

Fireworks for the Fourth...
We did end up going to see the fireworks last night, though we had no clue where they set them off at so we didn't end up in the thick of it. We were on the opposite side of the place but we still had a great view and it didn't take us nearly as long as it would have to get out of the parking lot. We ended up meeting Candy and Martel and their girls (and nieces) there and hung out and chatted and had a great time. After the fireworks were over we all came back here and lit off some of our own that my kids (Travis included) had to have. Then another friend stopped by and lit off a few more :) The girls were up until after 11pm and Kaylee slept until 7am! What is wrong with that child?!? Kaylee didn't really seem to give a hoot about the fireworks display and the ones we did at home she was scared to death of. We were going to take them to a neighboring town that is doing them tonight but since she doesn't care to watch them we will pass and stay home.

Happy Birthday to ME!!!
Today is my birthday! I am now 28 years old, seriously I have been saying that I am 28 for about 5 months so technically I haven't aged at all! After sleeping in till about 9 (yeah baby) I came downstairs to be greeted by birthday wishes and donuts! Sitting on my counter calling my name was my new CRICUT!!! Woo Hoo!!!
I can't even begin to express the joy I have! I ripped it open as soon as I got a chance (I had to eat my donuts first lets not be stupid, priorities baby) I have already done a layout using it. I had the blade in wrong at first but once I got that figured out it was smooth sailing. I was nervous cause I wasn't sure how difficult it would be but it really is quite simple. Travis may want to kill me for what I am going to say next but so be it... I can't wait to get new cartridges and try new things. Watch out Ebay, I'll be coming for ya!
Anyone wanting to shed some light on a better way to add LO to a blog for people to see them better I would love to hear from you!
Today is also July 4th, so Happy Birthday America! We plan to go see some fireworks tonight and possibly set some of our own off! Hopefully it doesn't rain and we can enjoy the day!!

Here are some layouts
So to further avoid everything I should be doing right now. I thought I'd post some of the layouts I've done since recently starting back up again. This isn't all I've done but a few. I am now getting ready to start Kaylee's first birthday, yes she will be 4 in a month. Whatever, I have made great strides getting this accomplished!! I have no clue how to put these on here right so I took snapshots of them and did it that way. Therefore, I have no idea how to make my 2 page layouts appear side by side so sorry you will have to use your imagination. Don't laugh at me! Seriously these layouts are awesome for me, you should see what poor Mykenzie's albums look like. Ooh its bad! I am not as good at this as those of you reading this but they are good enough for me :)
I am on a roll!!
Ok seriously I suffer from severe procrastination disorder. I plan things in my head months in advance but wait till the last second to actually do them. So far today I have crossed 2 things off my very long list of things to do.
1. Got the Big V scheduled
2. Called and got Kaylee's birthday party booked. Sadly I had to change the date of the party. I was going to do it on her actual birthday cause I am tired of celebrating each kids birthday twice. But, since I scheduled Travis' surgery on the 31st I thought it may be best to have the party prior to that so he can play and jump with Kaylee if so desires. So we will be doing it at Pump it up on July 27th. So if you think you will possibly be invited save the date :) Invitations to come. I sadly can not invite everyone I want to because there is a limit or I have to start shelling out more cash. I am going to invite people that are Kaylee's friends and/or my friends that have kids her age.
Oh Oh Oh... also for the past few days, as it is a long process, I have been uploading all of the millions of pictures I have taken over the past 2 years to winkflash and ordering them! Yay! They are having a great deal right now 6cent prints!!! The coupon code is JUNE256 and it expires July 15th if you are interested. I ordered batch number one the other day. I still have a few more to upload and then I will be placing order number 2!

Let the countdown begin!
I finally got off my procrastinating rear end and called my insurance company and a urologist today. No problems we just need to get the big V taken care of. I have had my moments of thinking that maybe I would like to have 1 more kid. I think that my reasons would be all wrong if I did it though. I want a baby and young toddler, then I want to ship them off. LMBO Sooooo I think that would mean I am done. We have been blessed with two beautiful, sweet and most important, healthy girls. We love them to pieces but our family is complete. Now it is time. It is slightly scary making it permanent but I know it is the right thing for us. So we are now and forever will be a family of 4. Well provided the procedure works and no surprises happen in the mean time ;) July 31st is the day. I wanted to have it done this month because our insurance changes August 1st and we would have to pay over $100 more for it. Since we know we are done, we are gonna do it now and save the cash :) Travis is less than thrilled about having it done, especially since he has to take off work for 2 days right when we will be getting home from vacation. Oh well. I am sure his boss will be understanding. He will be up and ready to go back on Monday.
