God so loved the World that he gave his one and only Son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
We have been studying this verse in church for the past 5 weeks. I thought it was appropriate to post in on here today being that it is Good Friday. Until this study I hadn't fully grasped the sacrifice that was made for all of us. My pastor said something while describing Jesus' brutal beating and Crucifixion that will stay with me always. He said Jesus didn't just die FOR us but he died BECAUSE of us. Wow. I never thought of it that way and I have to say that it makes me feel much more grateful when it is put to me like that.
Here is the sermon if you are interested

I'll admit I am "that" mom
I take Mykenzie to school in my pj's. Sometimes no shoes, sometimes Travis' sandals with socks. In my defense I don't have to get out of the car and I am only gone 5 minutes. IF I had to get out of the car I would get myself presentable. I was putting the girls in the car this morning to go to school and Kaylee says to me "Mom your hair is a mess" of course I reply, "Thanks Kaylee that is so nice" to which Mykenzie chimes in "No it's not Kaylee, It always looks like that." Lovely. I just looked at her and she quickly replied "well in the mornings it does" Kids are way to honest sometimes

Cold!
Ohio in March sucks. I said a couple of years ago that I would never go back to Ohio for spring break. Now stupid me decided it would be a great idea this year. The high the whole time we will be there is 40 degrees, oh and snow. Seriously I am over winter and ready for spring!! I guess next year we will have our butts out in the cold in January going door to door selling cookies. No more phone calls to try and sell them :( This is the LAST year I go to Ohio for spring break! It is such a good thing that I like visiting everyone who lives there. Hopefully this year I will be able to see more of everyone but I doubt it. I am already booked for Tuesday, Wed, and Thursday. Sunday is Easter and Monday is Travis' bday. I have no idea when I am going to see my Grandpa, my Grammy or my Aunt or Uncle even though I really want to see all of them. I will have to figure it out. I wish they weren't all spread out, that would be easier. I guess I will figure something out. Problem is people get mad if I only stay places for an hour or 2 and move on but there is really no other way for me to do it. I have so many people to see and so little time to do it plus working around every one's schedules. Freakin stress I tell ya! Now add cold and snow to it! GRRR

For crying out loud
So it started today. My child is giving smart ass answers on her homework. She had a graph she had to fill in (no clue how to do it thanks to teacher of the year) Then the question was name 2 facts about this graph. She writes "The graph is a fool. I don't know why." Can you hear me smacking myself in the forehead?!?! Then she gave the definition of a perimeter of a triangle rather than the actual perimeter of the triangle. This one I don't think was intentional since the question only read "what is the perimeter?" Not what is the perimeter of the triangle, but geeze! She got it wrong both on the school work side of the paper as well as the homework which just goes to show she isn't actually being taught these things.
On a side note about school they are starting to do multiplication already! She is doing x1, x2 and x5. Not all that difficult but still I was surprised to see her doing it. Parent/ Teacher conference on Saturday, joy of joys. I so love talking with this lady. I was checking out the 3rd grade teachers web pages today to get an idea of who to request so I don't have to deal with this crap again. I have it down to 2 people so now I have to ask around about them. Pray we get a good teacher next year!!!

Long time no blog
Kaylee is better. Whatever she had only lasted 2 days. Right now my brother in law, Tony and his girlfriend, Jordan are here. We have been putting Tony to work in our garage. We had a leak in the roof and it was ruining the ceiling in the garage and it was getting all moldy and nasty.
We decided to just give up with our huge fight with our home warranty people and just take the $300 they offered us so we can move on and have working appliances again. It sucks cause it was a waste of money for us but it is NICE to have a microwave and dishwasher again. Travis and Tony installed both of them yesterday. They finished the ceiling today while the girls and I played in the snow (yes we got snow again!!) Then Tony put up some picture frame molding in my dining room. Now I need to figure out what I am doing as far as paint goes in there. I can't seem to make up my mind. My latest plan Travis isn't on board with at all! lol He just doesn't want to do the work because it involves painting a room we just recently did. We will see. I need to worry about finding a kitchen table and some end tables for my living room first.
Now for the snow. This time it actually covered the ground and it was like 2 inches worth. The girls made snow angels and threw snowballs but the snow was too powdery and wouldn't pack well enough to make a snow man. It is now 2pm and most of it has melted. We went out right after breakfast to play so we didn't miss our chance.
We will be going to Ohio for Spring break this year, including Easter day. We have never been there on a holiday other than July 4th and Memorial Day before. Mykenzie is hoping the Easter bunny will be able to find us. I hate going up there at this time of year cause you have to bring your entire wardrobe with you. Hopefully we will get more spring weather and less winter. Who knows since it is a flipping blizzard up there now. I am excited to see everyone. There are 2 babies that I need to meet still! We leave in 13 days I guess I should be making some plans. Time is flying and it is sneaking up on me!
